HOMINIDS EVOLUTION TIMELINE. AMAZING QUICK FACTS

HOMINIDS EVOLUTION TIMELINE. AMAZING QUICK FACTS #DOCUMENTARY

This video is about timeline of hominids evolution. The first first hominid in my presentation is Australopithecus Afarensis. The first evidence is about 2,8 millions years ago The second hominid is Paranthropus.

Paranthropus

The first evidence of Paranthropus is 2,7 millions years ago. 2,6 m years ago hominids started to diversify their food and there is incorporation of meat and marrow into diets of these hominids.

Oldowan tools

2,6 millions years ago we had the first evidence of tools used by humans, Oldowan tools , the earliest stone tools used by humans, chopping through flesh and bones. 2,5 millions years ago is the start of the geological period of Quaternary ice age initiated by a Supernova blast 150-300 light years away.2,3 m years ago we have the first of Homo Habilis in Africa which was using stone tools for taking meat from bones. 2,1 m years ago we have the earliest evidence of human ancestors out of Africa , we found tools used by hominids in southern China.

Homo Erectus

2 m years ago we had the first evidence of Homo Erectus direct ancestor of modern humans, he had a large brain and smaller teeth, 1,8 m years ago we had evidence of migrations of Homo Erectus from Africa to Eurasia. 1,8 millions years ago we have the earliest stone hand axes evidence in Tanzania. 1 millions years ago is the extinction of Paranthropus. 1,1 millions years ago we have the evidence of the earliest control of fire by Homo Erectus in South Africa. Archeologists found evidence that fire was used on beaches by these hominids.

Homo Antecessor

900 Thousands years ago there is evidence of Homo Antecessor in Western Europe in Atapuerca, Spain, he was closely related to the last common antecessor of Neanderthals and Denisovans and modern humans. 800 thousands years ago we have the earliest evidence of cannibalism in Homo Antecessor in Grand Dolina , Spain.

Homo Floresiensis

750 thousands years ago we have the first evidence of Homo Floresiensis in the Indonesian island of Flores, probably descendant from Homo Erectus. 650 thousands years ago we have the first evidence of Homo Heidelbergensis possible ancestor of Homo Sapiens and Homo Neanderthaliensis, he was cooking meat and eating starchy plants. 450 thousands years ago Homo Neanderthaliensis spread throughout Europe.

Denisovans

430 thousands years ago we have the first evidence of Denisovans which diverged from Neanderthals in Southern Siberia. This is the evidence of the cave in Denisova 300 Thousands years ago the earliest representative of our species , Homo Sapiens (Jebel Irhoud, Morocco): facial and dental structure similar to modern humans, yet still archaic elongation of the braincase. Replacement of Homo Heidelbergensis by Homo Neanderthalensis in Europe, and by Homo Sapiens in Africa over the subsequent 100,000 YEARS.

Homo Sapiens

Homo Sapiens enter Eurasia (Greece): first of multiple dispersals out of Africa by humans with early modern traits, including globular braincase and descended larynx facilitating spoken language. 40 thousands years ago is the time f extinction of Neanderthals .35 thousands years ago we have the first evidence of Cro Magnons which are very similar to modern humans.14 – to 15 thousands years ago is the end of the Ice age.
